Enterprise Roles

CARTO Enterprise provides a shared environment for groups of users working together.

Role Types

• User - An Enterprise “user” is an individual part of an organization. Each user can be assigned write and read access (Builder) or read-only access (Viewer) to shared datasets and maps.

• Admin - An Enterprise user with admin privileges. Admins help create and manage users within the account but cannot change organization details.

• Owner - The Enterprise “owner” is the super administrator responsible for the organization account. Owners can add users, assign access levels, delegate quotas, and grant administrative privileges to other users. Only the owner can change account details or delete the account.
