How to Import an Unsupported CSV/Spreadsheet File

Learn how to format your CSV/spreadsheet file in order to import it into your CARTO account.

Solution

To successfully import an unsupported CSV or spreadsheet into CARTO, the file should be saved with proper encoding. Specifically, use “UTF with BOM” encoding when saving your file through a text editor such as SublimeText.
